The 60" x 47" Corner Desk is perfect for the home office or small business. The desk can be configured with the long edge to the left or right, and its 24" and 12" shelves provide handy storage for peripherals, books and CDs: Features: Panels are asymmetric and reversible, so the desk can be assembled with the long edge to the left or right. Holds up to three 12" shelves and three 24" shelves. Shelves are adjustable in 6-3/8" increments. Can have peninsulas, bridges and/or extensions attached to either side of the desk. In my search for a new desk, I didn't really want to end up with another industrial-style desk from any old office supply store. The Legare Corner desk is definitely unique.
I ordered this item from Amazon on a Sunday, and it shipped from the manufacturer via freight carrier on Tuesday. I would have received the desk the following weekend, but due to a labeling error the freight company lost the desk. The customer service folks at the carrier and at Amazon were very helpful during the process of finding the desk, and offered to ship a replacement. In the end, the original desk was found and delivered promptly after arriving in my city.
Setting up the desk was easy. They really do mean it when they say no tools required, 3 minute setup. It took longer to unpack the desk and determine shelf placement than it did to put the desk together. Everything snaps together with interlocking notches, with the newest piece holding the previous pieces together, and the top locking it all down.
The desk is sturdy, well built, and well finished. From the pictures, it appears that the side shelves are in the way when you're seated, but this is not true. The inner supports are shallow, and the top overhangs even the deeper end supports by about 6 inches, providing even more space.
In addition to the corner desk, I added a 29" bridge to the shorter 47" end, providing even more space. There are multiple options for extensions and shelves, which allows many expansion possibilities.
I currently have 4 computers set up in and under the desk, along with multiple external hard drives, keyboards, mice, and other assorted "necessities." There is plenty of room for all of this without feeling crowded, and the addition of Cubicals storage bins and baskets from Target allows easy organization.
I'm very happy with my new desk, and plan to add shelves and expansion as space permits and needs require.
Update June 16, 2010: I've had this desk for over a year now, and love it even more. I moved it around, added some Ergo-tron arms, and reconfigured the layout a few times while at my old house. This spring, I moved to a new, smaller apartment, and the desk was certainly the easiest piece of furniture to move, since it just packed down flat. It's now holding 3 monitors (24", 22", 19") on 2 Ergo-tron mounting arms, a 13" Macbook, a printer, and assorted desk stuff, plus 2 desktop PCs and 8 storage bins underneath. No matter what I do, the desk is still sturdy and provides plenty of space for everything I need.

I had been looking for a nice corner desk NOT made of the usual crap particle board. Many screws and dowels make a desk flimsy I have found. The LEGARE products fit together like a simple genius puzzle. Product was shipped to me FAST and I was blown away that the shippers brought it into my house! Assembly was easy except for 1 difficult thing:ME! I wanted the long part of desk to be right side but assembly looked Left side long. NICE thing about this desk is you can mirror it. Flip the parts so they go left OR right! GENIUS! Both sides work same way! I thought they had shipped wrong size shelf BUT you have to make sure you flip things the correct way. DUH! I like this desk so much have not put anything on it. Furniture by Legare is ART. It all fits so RIGHT! Mentally it just sits good in your home and MIND. I would like to thank the other reviewer Meghan for her nice photo of her desk and her fine Review. This desk may seem expensive but it is worth it. I work with wood and THIS product LOOKS more like real natural wood than any I have ever seen. Thanks Amazon, Legare and Ceva (shipping company) for a wonderful purchasing experience (and desk ;-)
(Edited 1 year since I purchased this desk: It has kept it's finish and is still rock solid and so light and sturdy I have moved it twice with no problem so easy to take down and reassemble. Never been so enthusiastic about a simple piece of furniture. 1 year later still enthusiastic about it! )

I am sold on Legare furniture! I've had my desk for a couple weeks now and I really couldn't ask for anything more. The desks really do go together in under 5 minutes (3:10 - we clocked it). Once together, they are solid, sturdy, and look great. I bought the L-shaped, a 29" bridge, and a straight desk. They all line up very well and the veneers all match.
You may need some help getting the desk inside as the box is very heavy. We just opened the box in the garage and carried the individual pieces inside.

Happened to discover this desk here at Amazon. Was impressed by the reviews and the concept so did a little more research. I loved the way this furniture worked, how modular it was and cost effective. Purchased the corner desk, a deep shelf for my laser printer, and the end cap. They look awesome and it really did take only a few minutes to put everything together. It was really easy! The desk is sturdy, the pieces all fit together really well and it's flexible. Buy one! But DON'T buy the file cabinets if you really need filing capacity. The reviews are right. They are aesthetically nice, but NOT FUNCTIONAL. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE MONEY. Too bad, because Legare does such a good job with everything else.
