| Customer Reviews: does the job December 29, 2009 sbrc1980 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
i used this to cover a cord that passes through my walkway. This does the job in protecting cables and staying flat to the ground.
Useful, but somewhat misleading product photos December 27, 2008 Barnaby Claydon 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I recently purchased this cable cover in the 5-foot, safety-yellow combination. It arrived quickly and was packaged well... but then again it is just a giant piece of rubbery plastic, so how hard was it going to be? So far it's performed great! Family members have stood on it, it's covered cables cleanly, and there are no visible marks on my wood floors - what more could I want?
Well... the photos seem to suggest that you can fit network cables (their example) into the enclosed side hollows. This is true but only if you plan on crimping the heads of your RJ45 after you feed them through. I bought this cover to hide 2 power cables and 3 Cat5 cables, but there's no way I'm going to be able to feed the molded RJ45 jacks down the side hollows without spending hours and hours prying them every half an inch.
So overall a good product, clearly does what it is directly intended to [covers cables in the slit center hollow] but please don't buy it on the assumption you'll realistically be able to feed 4 Cat5 cables down each side hollow as one of the photos implies.
